Privacy Policy
Effective: August 29, 2026
Pop It Here is a shared household organizer for shopping, lists, recipes, reminders, plans and related household tools. This policy explains what information Pop It Here processes, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
1. Information we process
- Account information. Email address, name, profile image, account identifier, authentication provider and basic account settings.
- Household content. Information you choose to add, such as shopping items, tasks, notes, recipes, meal plans, reminders, preferences, routines, household-member details and sharing choices.
- Dietary and preference information. You may choose to enter allergies, dietary requirements, likes, dislikes or other food-related preferences for yourself or people you cook for. Treat this information as sensitive and only add information you are entitled to share.
- Fitness and nutrition information. If you use those features, you may enter workout logs, food and water logs, body measurements, weight, resting heart rate or blood-pressure readings. Some fitness information is stored in your browser; cloud-enabled features may also store data with our backend services.
- Images and generated content. Images you upload, save or generate for supported features, including recipe imagery. Some optional photographs may remain only in your browser unless a feature clearly indicates that it is being uploaded.
- Location-related information you provide. A ZIP code, postcode, city or shopping-area preference may be used when you ask for local shopping, store or pricing help. Pop It Here does not need continuous precise GPS tracking for its current core features.
- Optional Google information. If you connect Google Calendar, Gmail or Contacts, Pop It Here may process the limited information needed for the feature you requested. Calendar can provide calendar/event details; Gmail can provide recent receipt, order and confirmation context; Contacts can provide names, email addresses and birthdays to help resolve people. Google access tokens are short-lived and kept in the current browser session rather than stored in the Pop It Here database.
- Technical information. Hosting, authentication and security providers may process standard request information such as IP address, browser/device information, timestamps and error logs as part of operating and securing the service.
2. How we use information
Information is used to authenticate users, provide and sync requested features, share household information with people you authorize, remember preferences, generate or adapt recipes, produce shopping assistance, answer feature-specific questions, create requested images, troubleshoot problems, protect accounts and improve reliability.
3. Google user data
Google user data obtained through Google sign-in is used to authenticate you, identify your Pop It Here account and display basic account information. Optional Google connections use read-only scopes: Calendar context helps Pop understand your plans; Gmail context is limited to useful receipts, orders and confirmations selected by the integration; Contacts context helps Pop resolve names and birthdays. Pop stores structured facts needed by the product rather than retaining an unnecessary copy of an entire inbox or address book. Google-derived data is not used for advertising, sold or rented, and these integrations cannot send email or modify your Google Calendar or Contacts.
4. AI-powered features
When you deliberately use an AI-powered feature, the information needed to perform that request may be sent to an AI service provider. For example, a recipe request may include ingredients, serving information and dietary constraints; a shopping request may include shopping items and the general location you supplied. Do not enter information into an AI feature that you do not want processed for that request.
5. Service providers
Pop It Here relies on service providers to operate the service. Current providers include Supabase for authentication, database and storage services; Netlify for hosting and server functions; Google for Google sign-in; OpenAI for selected AI-powered features; and retail/data services such as Kroger APIs when supported shopping features are used. These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy practices and only as needed for the relevant service.
6. Household sharing
Pop It Here is designed to let household members share information. Content you place in a shared household area can be visible to other members of that household. Use private or limited-sharing options where available, and avoid adding another person’s sensitive information unless you have a legitimate reason and permission to do so.
7. When information may be disclosed
Information may be disclosed to service providers as described above, to people you intentionally share it with, when required by law or a valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect the security, rights or safety of users, Pop It Here or others. Pop It Here does not sell personal information.
8. Retention, access and deletion
Information is kept for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain the account, meet legal obligations and protect against abuse. Some data may remain in backups for a limited period. You may request access, correction, export or deletion of account information by contacting support@popithere.com. Deleting an account may remove access to shared household content and cannot always delete information another household member independently created or retained.
9. Security
Pop It Here uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including managed authentication and HTTPS. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so use a strong password for email/password accounts and protect access to your Google account.
10. Children
Pop It Here is not directed to children under 13 and independent accounts should not be created for children under 13. Adults are responsible for information they choose to add about household members.
11. International processing
Service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as Pop It Here develops. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, when appropriate, by providing an additional notice in the service.
13. Contact
Privacy questions and requests can be sent to support@popithere.com.
This policy is intended to describe the service as it operates today. It should be reviewed as new integrations, advertising, payments, data exports or additional Google permissions are introduced.
